Why Mezux
Utility mapping & detection
Before anyone digs, Mezux gives operators and authorities a clear, survey-based picture of what lies beneath — power, water, drainage, gas and legacy telecom — detected, depth-profiled and turned into GIS-ready 3D records that survive the whole build.
This is the same survey-first discipline behind our GPR survey record of 1.5 lakh km mapped: accurate detection that prevents strikes, penalties and the delays they cause, and feeds directly into drilling plans and RoW files.
For congested corridors where blind digging fails, mapping is the foundation everything else is built on. Explore our projects or request a quote.
Technical Specification
Utility Mapping & Detection — Deliverables
| Detection methods | GPR as primary, with electromagnetic locating for metallic and traceable services |
|---|---|
| Attributes recorded | Utility type, alignment, indicative depth, confidence/quality level and detection method |
| Quality levels | Reported against PAS 128-style quality levels (desktop, site survey, detection, verification) as agreed with the client |
| Verification | Trial pits / vacuum excavation at critical points where physical confirmation is specified |
| Output formats | CAD (DWG/DXF), GIS (SHP/KML/KMZ), PDF route drawings and depth-annotated plans |
| Coordinate reference | Survey-grade positioning tied to the project coordinate system where required |
| Use downstream | Feeds directly into HDD bore design, RoW submission drawings and final as-built records |
Figures are indicative of standard capability and are confirmed per project. Achievable values depend on ground conditions, utility density, site access and authority requirements, and are fixed in the approved method statement.
Quality & Assurance
QA/QC and documentation
Work is executed under our ISO 9001:2015 quality, ISO 14001:2015 environmental and ISO 45001:2018 occupational health & safety management systems. Each project runs to an Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) agreed with the client, with hold and witness points at survey sign-off, bore setout, duct proving, splicing and final testing. Site checklists, test records and as-built drawings are compiled into a handover pack for the client and, where applicable, the permitting authority.
